There’s no escaping it … most of us are creatures of habit and would much rather stay in our comfort zone. So traveling down the average roadway, 2 lanes or 4, keeps us pretty comfortable until, Yikes, I’m heading into a roundabout! Now what do I do?

If you’re like most drivers, other than driving through long tunnels or over major suspension bridges, you’d probably vote that navigating through a roundabout is one of your least favorite driving experiences.

However, after more than 20 years of research data, the roundabout is proving itself to be safer than traditional intersection traffic controls. Roundabouts have shown to reduce fatal crashes by 90 percent and injury crashes by 75 percent.
